Kalkan, once a sleepy Greek fishing village, has in the recent years been transformed into one of the most exclusive and sought after holiday resorts in Turkey.

The views are magnificent.  The village still maintains its charm and character with cobbled streets and old Greek houses.  Many people are still trying to keep Kalkan a secret.  Patara beach, 15 mins drive from Kalkan,is known as one of the ten best beaches in the world, and a trip to Kaputas beach is a must.  The sea here is like a blue lagoon.  There is a beach in town and also platformed sunbathing areas by the sea.

There is a bus service from the village to Kas, Patara and Kaputas. There is a traditional market every Thursday where you can purchase all your fresh fruit and vegetables.
